Introducing True Health’s Intensive Outpatient Program with Dr. Michael Murphy

Depression and Anxiety are two of the most common psychiatric illnesses during adolescence and young adulthood, affecting 1 in 4 individuals ages 13 to 25 years. Untreated depression can have serious consequences, including an increased risk of suicide. Suicide remains the second leading cause of death in this age group.

True Health’s Intensive Outpatient Program provides intensive outpatient treatment for adolescents and young adults that struggle with depression and/or anxiety. The program offers a therapeutic group approach, psychiatric assessments and medication management, individualized treatment plans, and family support.

Our program is led by our Medical Director, Dr. Michael Murphy. With over 25 years of clinical experience in psychiatry, Dr. Michael Murphy, MD, MPH, is a valuable asset to the True Health LLC family. A Harvard Medical School graduate, Dr. Murphy has held several leadership positions at health systems, psychiatric hospitals, and medical centers in Massachusetts, Tennessee, and Florida. In addition, he spent more than five years of his career serving as the National Medical Director for the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) Behavioral Health Services, where he developed major initiatives in patient care quality and safety and set the tone for behavioral health care on a national level.
