Adolescence is a unique and formative time and a crucial period for developing and maintaining social and emotional habits important for mental well-being. Emotional disorders commonly emerge during adolescence and often go undetected and/or untreated.
Our program provides 9-15 hours of therapeutic group activities per week as directed by the attendees’ treatment plan. The treatment plan is developed in close collaboration with the individual program participant and their parent(s)/caregiver(s). Attendees participate a minimum of 3 days and up to 5 days per week depending on the treatment team’s recommendation. Individual and Family Therapy may also be provided in addition to group therapy.
Every aspect of treatment is intended to assist attendees in achieving their optimum level of functioning. Treatment modalities may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Educational Group Therapy, Co-Occurring Diagnosis Therapy, Trauma Resolution Therapy and Expressive Therapy.
The program space provides a safe and stimulating environment for all attendees with room for a variety of therapeutic activities. The facility is furnished to provide a comfortable atmosphere and to encourage interaction among attendees and staff.
We have a compassionate group of highly trained professionals that have experience in the issues unique to adolescence and young adulthood. They will work with you to create a treatment plan that addresses your specific needs so you can achieve your goals and begin to thrive.
At the Center for Emotional Wellness, we recognize that every individual has their own unique challenges. That’s why we firmly believe that successful treatment isn’t one size fits all. We use proven methods and therapies that when combined create a well-rounded program that addresses the whole person.
